Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight

Well .. it certainly isn't the LP we know; it's softer than Hybrid Theory & Meteora, but it's worth a listen. It'll grow on you. Stand-out tracks for me are "given up", "leave out all the rest", "shadow of the day", "what I've done", "no more sorrow", and "in pieces" ..
There's definitely a new direction in LP's sound. More ballads, less rap-rock-electronica-metal .. not necessarily a bad thing .. they've have gone political in "no more sorrow"(I see liars and fiends, abuse power with greed, thieves and hypocrites, your time has come to be replaced) , Mike Shinoda's rap solo "hands held high" (When the rich wage war, it's the poor who die) and the Anti-Bush"the little things give you away"...

4/5 stars ...
